Into the swing of July!

The last couple of weeks in project have been an eye opener. Settling back into the school, new year groups, new classrooms, timetables and teachers reminds me of the excitement, yet holiday blue of restarting school at home. The kids however study, study, study here from dawn till dusk. The hostel children are up at 5.30am washed and dressed for morning study. They begin school at 8.45am till 4.25pm then study again in the evening from 5.30pm till 7.30pm. Everything is go, go, go from Monday - Saturday. For the older students, (15 years) , study continues late until
9pm, 6 full days a week. On Sunday's, the 10th class continue studying in the morning, leaving them only free time on Sunday afternoon. The dedication and pride the girls and boys alike put into studying is impressive full of ambitious, possibly future doctors, teachers, agriculturalists and everything more they aspire to be.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've enjoyed taking general knowledge classes, practicing handwriting, and generally enjoying our last weeks teaching, marking and sociallising with both the students and teachers. As we've only got a few weeks left, I've taken to taking my camera with me... everywhere! So here's a few photos to paint a picture of life just now...
